A Handmade Cookie Find in Montréal: Blonde Biscuiterie

Bonjour! This is J., documenting a beautiful life.

This is a genuine review from my own purchase — not sponsored.

On Rue Sainte-Catherine in Montréal, there’s a handmade cookie shop I have to tell you about: Blonde Biscuiterie. Honestly, it’s the best handmade cookie I’ve had in a long time!

The shop is located in The Village, a lively neighborhood on Rue Sainte-Catherine Est. The storefront is charming and inviting — you can smell the butter and chocolate before you even walk in. It’s a small shop with a big personality, and the staff are friendly and happy to let you know what’s fresh out of the oven.

🍪 Not Flat — Scooped Like Ice Cream!

The most unique thing about these cookies is their shape. They’re not flat at all — they look like they were scooped with an ice cream scoop, round and generous. Crispy on the outside, soft and moist on the inside. And it’s so fun to split one in half and discover what’s hidden inside!

The texture is what really sets them apart. The outside has that perfect golden crispness, while the inside stays soft, chewy, and moist — almost like a cross between a cookie and a cake. When you break one open, you might find molten chocolate, caramel, or other delicious surprises depending on the flavor. It’s like a little treasure hunt in every cookie.

😋 Every Flavor Is Different — The Box Disappeared in Minutes

Every cookie tastes different, so before I knew it, the whole box was gone just from tasting them one by one. Not too sweet either, so you never get tired of them.

☕ Perfect With Your Afternoon Coffee

These cookies were made for slow afternoons. Pair one (or two — no judgment) with a hot coffee or a cup of tea, and you have the perfect little moment of happiness. The cookies aren’t overly sweet, so they complement rather than overpower your drink. This has become my favorite weekend ritual: a good book, a warm drink, and a Blonde cookie.

🎁 A Perfect, Easy Gift!

These make a perfect ice-breaking gift or something to bring to a friend’s tea time — always a hit! Great for when you’re visiting someone and want to bring something nice without overthinking it. The pink box is so pretty you don’t even need extra wrapping.

🔥 Even Better Warmed Up

Tip printed inside the box lid: warm them in the oven at 350°F for a few minutes, or microwave for a few seconds, for the full experience. Note: contains nuts!

My personal method: a few minutes in a preheated oven makes the edges crispy again while the center gets warm and gooey — it’s like having a fresh-baked cookie all over again. If you’re in a hurry, the microwave works too, though the oven gives you that bakery-fresh texture. Either way, don’t skip this step — it makes a real difference!

One more tip: if you’re buying for a party or as gifts, ask about their assorted boxes. Having a mix of flavors lets everyone find their favorite, and the beautiful pink packaging means you can hand it over as-is — no wrapping paper needed.

What I appreciate most is that everything tastes homemade in the best sense — like cookies from someone who genuinely loves baking, not a factory production line. You can taste real butter, good chocolate, and quality ingredients in every bite. In a city full of dessert options, Blonde Biscuiterie has earned a permanent spot on my list of places to bring out-of-town guests.
